Capitol Hill to get P-Patch

Jen Power, who's been working on getting a P-Patch and park on the parking lot near the Starbucks at Summit and John emailed with this news:

The city just confirmed that the project is getting $150,000 in parks levy funding.

"That means we're fully funded - there will be a park and p-patch with seating and pathways and plenty of trees at John and Summit by next year," she said in an email.

Unpaving Paradise, a joint project of the Cap Hill Community Council and P-Patch Trust, will still try to raise money for a maintenance fund for the park.
