In the neighborhoods: Officer Brenton’s work showed “imagination”, “ingenuity”
From the Central District News neighborhood blog:
Several highlights of Officer Timothy Brenton’s police career were detailed in a city council hearing this afternoon, described by councilmember Tim Burgess, himself a former SPD officer and detective.
Officer Brenton spent his entire 8-year career in Seattle as a member of the East Precinct that spans the area between I-5, Lake Washington, 520, and I-90. Councilmember Burgess said that Brenton worked during the nighttime third watch, out keeping the neighborhood safe while most people slept. And Burgess noted that the loss of Brenton was especially painful because he and Officer Sweeney were “ambushed, shot at point-blank range.”
